The ferromagnetic separator is a system for the treatment of waste materials on a conveyor belt.
It can be a drum type or magnetic plate (with permanent magnets or electromagnets) and is installed at the discharge side of conveyor belts and screw conveyors to permit the separation of elements of a ferrous origin from the product.
It consists of a suitably contoured casing with load and discharge openings and flanged joins; the magnetic drum or plate is located inside, complete with fastening supports and a variable power geared motor drive unit.
The magnetic separator is manufactured using AISI steel to provide good anti-magnetic protection.
